The Price of Dating

Some time ago, I was 'asked on a date', only it wasn't your typical date.  The guy asked me to drive to his house to meet him.  Since I live on the opposite side of town, I thought it was fair since I thought he would be driving for the rest of the date.  (Thought being the key word here.)  As I pulled into his house, he walked outside to meet me.  (So I thought.)  Instead he got in my passenger seat and buckled up.  Upon seeing the quizzical look on my face, he told me that he ran out of gas so I was to drive us.  As we were driving clear to the other side of town to the movie store, he informed me that he also didn't have cash; so I would have to purchase the movie.  Flustered, I paid for the movie.  The next part of the date was finding a house to watch the movie at.  Of course it would be too easy to go to his house which was closer... so I drove us all the way back to my house [:  This fun date that I was asked on cost me over $10 in gas and about $10 for the movie.  Yes, about $20 isn't all the much money.  But here's my thought.  I thought that when a guy asked a girl on a date, he had full intention of paying for everything, especially since the activity was completely his idea.  Apparently I'm a little old fashioned [:  Either way, I'm sure you can guess what I said to him when he 'asked me out' again.  Yeeaahh... no [:
